An unprecedented collaboration for a Limited Edition, it promotes the fast disappearing Guangcai – an important Chinese craftsmanship with over 300 years of history.
Volume One of the Limited Edition sheds spotlight on the ‘King of Flowers’ peonies. In Chinese culture, peony is a symbol of wealth and prosperity, and is considered one of the most beautiful flowers.
Following the traditional Guangcai motif of peony, the splendid gold colour are painted with a signature Guangcai skillset gilding. The Chinese Calligraphy is a deconstruction of the word ‘poeny’, adding a contrast and a touch of modern abstraction.
Each bottle is individually hand-painted by craftsmen of Kai Chuk Guangcai. With only 100 bottles available.
