In 1950, PLATEX, Swiss manufacturer of trays decides to open a warehouse in France. PLATEX France sets up in "Les Fours" next to Pontarlier, 10 km far from its parent company. PLATEX was born, with its first objective to manufacture laminated wooden trays for the very new food service market. Later, PLATEX Switzerland sells its French subsidiary to its Director; both companies split off. PLATEX prospered till 1984.
In 1984, PLATEX is taken over by Mrs. Neiman, who later redressed and developed the company. By 2010, PLATEX has become the first French manufacturer of trays and is among the first three at the European scale. PLATEX has the largest range of trays.
