Noto-Fusai is a designer duo consisting of two designers- Noto Hirotsugu (Husband) and Noto Miyo (Wife). At the beginning, Noto-Fusai focused on fashion design and incorporated the 3 dimensional aspects into T-shirts design, which had conventionally been in a territory of graphic design ("SHIKISAI alternative T-shirts", 2005-2010).
Noto-Fusai’s design concept is to blur the border between fine art and applied art. They proposed a series of silk-screened paintings with different real function ("Canvasworks", 2008-2010). Now their design products are sold internationally: Guggenheim Museum in NY, V&A Museum in London, or Mori Art Museum in Tokyo.
Their first collection launched in Hong Kong, the Canvasworks, is literally a collection of interior products- "canvas that works," which Noto Fusai proudly introduces as a brand-new entity to fill the gap between art piece and functional products.
