Judith Brown studied Fashion and Textiles, major in Embroidery at Manchester Metropolitan University in UK. She started her career in jewellery industry in 2004 and developed in stitching. She worked with fine wire rather than thread by using a simple stitching technique and pushed it beyond the boundaries of textiles to create original jewellery.
The “Vintage Noir” collection including necklace and earrings are all handmade by Judith Brown and are a dramatic collection of black jewellery, reminiscent of Victorian times. At first glance pieces seem like lace, simply stitched with wire, but with closer look, the collection is with recycled vintage hooks, eyes and press studs from haberdashery. All fittings are sterling silver and have an oxidized finishing, which is a deep charcoal gray.
